Race Rockstar

Race rocking out to Smoke on the Water at the Music Training Center on 12/4. I apologize I’ve been super behind on my posts. This is Race he is just 5 years old here with his new guitar and he was in his first music recital at the Music Training Center rocking out to the song Smoke on the Water. I will have a video up soon of th. He was blessed to have this amazing instructor too named Kyle they meet once a week and Race practices almost every day for a short time.Wow! Wait till you hear him play!!! Again this is his thing he has been rocking since before he was 1. Just really inside him and I can’t stop thinking how crazy it is that he is so fortunate to already know what he is good at. Also, everyone who knows me well knows that my Mom and Dad both already passed away. I often think how they are helping the boys today and how much they would have loved every minute with the boys for their music discovery, concerts, and genuine fun learning and playing music.

We filmed this late on a Saturday night. Just having some fun with the boys and the Photobooth program on the Mac. Race loves September by EWF for some reason and we had fun making this. Plus Maz got some much deserved Camera Time!!!

We had such a great time tonight rocking-out with the incredibly talented teens from the local School of Rock. They put on a kickin and incredibly rockin Kiss show. Seriously it was a great show - jamming guitar solos, fresh and strong vocals, pure freshness as they say. Plus as most of you know Race has seen the real Kiss in concert and he was Paul Stanley last year for Halloween so he knows who Kiss is and what’s up but he asked to get his picture the talented performers in the band tonight. Just proud how psyched he was to meet and get his picture with these young people who were playing their heart out for everyone. We actually paid to get in but then all four of us (me, Michan, Race and Maz) went outside because the sound was too loud for Maz’s ears and the way the place was set-up Race and Maz couldn’t run around and dance and jam and hangout with the teens inside. So we went outside and they just danced, played their guitars and ran around for about an hour behind the stage. Great family night! Enjoy the pics!

Race Rocking Out and having fun at the Mann Music Center this past August this is just a great short less than 10 second clip that shows how much of a Rockstar Race really is 24/7.

This is all from the same show. Race went up on stage too and beat boxed with Biz Marquee. The crowd actually was clapping for him because he matched Biz’s beats perfectly. What a great guy Biz Markee really psyched he was there to open their eyes to even more physically forms of music.

Here is just a great shot of genuine excitement and jubilation from Maz when the show started. He just couldn’t believe he was there and going to sing and dance with them. Oh to be a child right! Just such pure genuine happiness on his face!

We went to the Yo Gabba Gabba concert at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia and Maz was in heaven. He got to meet and dance with the characters but on the ultra fun and cool side he went up on stage and did a little freestyle Beatboxing with Biz Marquee.

This is Race and Maz putting on a long concert for our friend’s daughter Fionna to say Happy Birthday to her.

This is a great about a 3 minute video of Race singing another one of his Songs - “White Pumas”. Good classic rock and DJ Maz runs through it at one point with a few words. This is also a song they made for Fionna’s Birthday.

This is the last one in this series. I really wish we could have captured more he sang non-stop for 45 minutes switching styles and telling us he was going from computer (techno} to Hip Hop back done in kind of a beat box way as it was all just him singing on his blue Smurf guitar. Really amazing to see his energy and love for music.

This is the third of the three tracks. I wish you could see his face he is so focused on so into it. Spacey and times - sullen at others - just feeling the music which was all impromptu in terms of him figuring out the lyrics as we singing them. Again he is just 5 loves - loves anything to do with music and you can hear when he sings and plays.

This is the second of our ride home series with Race rocking out This one is a little harder rock. Just beautiful and crazy, All being done in his car seat at 5 years-old on a plastic blue Smurf Guitar! He kept pretending to be going back and forth from Race singing to the computer to TV on the Stereo to Hip Hop but all just him on a plastic guitar.

We were on our way home from Eric’s and Race just starts rocking out for about 45 minutes going through his TV on the Stereo DJ Martin CD track by track on his blue Smurf Guitar. It was amazing fast songs, slow songs, on this little Smurf Guitar. He was acting like an incredible successful 5-year-old singer song writer. We ewer driving - Maz was sleeping to the lighting is dark. Part of the effect. There are 5 tracks in this serious so enjoy! They are quick and fun.

This is a super short shot of Race playing on the water in front of the W Hoboken. He was making up his own song and he kept looking at the people walking by hoping they would stay and make a “concert” in the end he just played and played until his fingers hurt because he wasn’t using a pic. Then he played some more. Really nice people at the hotel and Race and Maz had a blast

Here are a few photos of Race from the Kids and Contact Mics program at the Tank discussed below.
